Pay Your Holding Deposit Online

This payment is received subject to the following:

1. If you successfully complete the proposed tenancy upon the terms outlined above, then this preliminary payment will be credited to your account as part of the contractual security deposit and will be held either by Lassiters or the Landlord for the duration of the tenancy and be returned to you after the expiry of the tenancy in full or part less any deductions lawfully due under the agreement.

2. If you withdraw from the proposed tenancy for any reason whatsoever, or the Landlord is forced to withdraw as a result of you failing to meet the required criteria to pass referencing by our chosen referencing agency, you will be liable for the reasonable costs incurred by the landlord or the Agent, which will be deducted from the Preliminary Payment.
Potential costs will include the following:

• Cost of re-advertising the property to let
• Cost in lieu of rent whilst keeping the property empty and not offering it to other applicants
• Cost of the preparation of the Tenancy Agreement and other pre-tenancy documents
• Cost of any references sought for which you have not separately pre-paid.
• Cost of any cancellation fees charged by inventory clerks
• Cost of any repeat cleaning required prior to the start of a future new tenancy.

3. If the landlord withdraws from the proposed tenancy for reasons other than those described in 2 above or without other good cause, the Preliminary Payment will be returned less any referencing costs incurred on your behalf.

Tenants acceptance of above terms:

I have read and understood the above upon receipt, prior to making any preliminary payment, and agree to be bound by its conditions. In particular, I acknowledge that my attention has been drawn to Clause 2 above and understand that if I withdraw from my proposed tenancy for any reason whatsoever or fail to meet the required criteria to pass your references by your chosen reference agency, then potential costs will be deducted from this preliminary payment.
