Financial Information

Any financial information that you do give to us (for the purposes of a tenancy) will be stored securely and will only be used for the purposes of collecting and paying rent payments. We will not hold credit card or debit card information. Any card payments taken will be entered directly into the payment terminal and a receipt will be sent to you via email or post. No physical written or computerised record of these details will ever be kept

Refund Policy

Relating to Preliminary Payments taken by Credit or Debit Card

Tenant's will be entitled to a refund (less cost of referencing) in the event that the Landlord withdraws from the proposed tenancy prior to the execution of the said tenancy.

In the event that a proposed tenant/s withdraws from a tenancy prior to the tenancy being executed, the tenant/s will be entitled to a refund minus the costs incurred by Lassiters. Details of what these costs include can be found on your copy of the preliminary payment receipt. Further copies can be obtained by contacting us directly.

Relating to other payments made by Credit or Debit Card

We provide our Landlords with the option of being able to pay for services (such as our administration fees, inventory preparation fees, gas safety checks etc) by debit or credit card. In the unlikely event that an error is made on our part, you will be entitled to an immediate refund of the error amount.

Subject to authorisation from the Director of Lassiters, we may be able to accept occasional rent payments or completion monies via Credit or Debit card.

If an error is made on our part, you will be entitled to an immediate refund of the error amount. However, if it is later disputed that a card payment should not have been processed, and no other method of payment was made, the payment will stand and no refund will be made.

Card Charges

Relating to all payments made by Credit or Debit Card

Lassiters reserves the right to pass on the charges for the use of Credit or Debit cards through our terminal. These do vary, however as a guide the following applies.

Credit Cards - 2.5% fee

Debit Cards - £0.50 fee
